While I personally I couldn't give a rat's arse about Micheal Jackson (hate him in fact) it does sound like the same sort of crap that Sony are dishing out to Darren doesn't it? They really are evil bastards

As far as Michael Jackson is concerned, I think it's a case of what goes around, comes around.

STOP SONY MUSIC FROM SABOTAGING MICHAEL JACKSON!
They are destroying ART.
Michael Jacksons latest album INVINCIBLE sold an
incredible seven (7) million copies in a few months
from its release date. Its a record-breaking figure
even for the King of Pop standards. However,
mysteriously the album has disappeared from the
Billboards album charts and airplay around the world.
WE BELIEVE THAT SONY MUSIC IS PURPOSELY SABOTAGING
INVINCIBLE. Through a peculiarly shady label strategy,
they are trying to keep Michael Jackson from touring,
from doing any kind of promotion, from releasing
singles and videos, they are asking radio stations to
silence Invincible! In short, they want to bring him
down, to destroy him as an artist. They will use all
sorts of tactics to achieve their goal, including
planting false and defaming stories about Jackson in
the media.
SONY MUSIC MAJOR MISTAKE.
MICHAEL JACKSON SIMPLY BEING BUSINESS SAVVY.
Sony Music is trying to get their hands on the entire
collection of SONY/ATV Publishing. Michael acquired
the priceless ATV catalogue in 1985 (the ATV catalogue
contains over 1,000 songs including 251 Beatles
titles). In 1995 Michael and Sony Music merged their
catalogues to form SONY/ATV. Michael and Sony shared
the revenue, a 50/50 split of the merged catalogue
earnings. When Michael leaves Sony Music, hes walking
away with half of the catalogue that contains 1,000s
of songs and will continue to make money while hes on
another label. The deal includes any new songs that
come under the control of this merger! Michael pockets
money from Destinys Child, Toni Braxton, Jennifer
Lopez, and more. Jackson made an outstanding move in
business. Sony Musics US boss, Tommy Mottola, didn't
think that Michael would be able to uphold this
agreement nor that he would leave Sony one day (as a
free agent). As a result of Michaels business savvy,
Tommy Mottola is trying heavily to SABOTAGE Michael
Jackson and his album Invincible.
MICHAEL JACKSON OWN WORDS: . I own half of Sony's
Publishing. I'm leaving them, and they're very angry
at me, because I just did good business, you know. So
the way they get revenge is to try and destroy my
album. But I've always said, you know, art - good art
- never dies.
THE STORY: Michael was forced to release You Rock My
World as the first single. Mainly because it was
mysteriously leaked to two radio stations, but that
was a choice he disagreed with. Sony Music never
purchased any adverting for Invincible despite
repeated requests from Michael Jackson for his 30th
Anniversary Concert at Madison Square Garden (a
television event garnering the attention of 26 million
viewers). Sony Music has even refused to release the
song entitled "What More Can I Give?" written and
produced by Michael Jackson and also featuring over 35
top recording artists. The song was aimed to "raise
tens of millions of dollars to benefit the victims of
the September 11 attack on USA, and many children
charities worldwide" (Press Release). No explanation
given. Sony also silenced Jay-Zs remix of Girls
Girls Girls featuring Michael Jackson! Just to name a
few... Lets not forget what they did to Mariah Carey,
dont let the same happen to a legend like Jackson.
